Due to its light weight and convenient construction and installation, polymer polyethylene sheets can be welded, drilled, and fixed with special countersunk screws to steel structures, and can be fixed with special countersunk expansion bolts to cement structures. When installing the lining board, the longest side of the polymer polyethylene board is usually installed in a straight direction. If the board is thinner (less than 20mm), the straight edge can be overlapped.
For thicker polymer polyethylene sheets, the edges should be cut at 45 degrees. This allows for changes in length and creates a smooth plastic surface inside the storage bin, which is beneficial for material movement. The side surface of the board laid along the direction of material movement can fully meet the requirements by selecting docking.
1. Skills in fixing lining plates on concrete structures
When installing storage tanks and hoppers in concrete structures, especially for old ones, the strength of the concrete structure should be checked (the thickness and solidity of the cement layer are necessary). The thickness and structure of the concrete are directly related to the solidity of the installation lining board.
Select appropriate fastening materials based on the verification results. Generally, special expansion bolts are used for connection, and the expansion bolts must be installed on a hard cement layer without cracks or holes (in cases where the above conditions are not available, plastic hinge nails can be used to ensure that the fabric is firmly fixed). The distance between fixing bolts depends on the thickness of the lining plate and operating conditions.
