However, in the process of selecting and identifying genuine and fake pipelines, many people are not very clear. The following is a simple and agile method for identifying genuine and fake ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipes.
1、 Weighing method: The specific gravity of the product is between 0.93 and 0.95, with a low density and can float on the water surface. On the contrary, if it is not pure polyethylene material, it will sink to the bottom of the water.
2、 Marginal testing method: The product pipeline flange end face is round, uniform, and lubricated. On the contrary, if there are cracks on the flanging end face of non pure polyethylene materials, and slag will appear when flanging after heating.
3、 Temperature measurement method: Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene pipes will not melt or deform at 200 degrees Celsius, but will become soft. On the contrary, if it is not pure polyethylene material, there will be deformation at 200 degrees Celsius.
4、 Visual method: The surface of the product is flat, uniform, and lubricated, with a shiny color and a very uniform cross-sectional density. On the contrary, if it is not pure polyethylene material, the color will be dim and the density will be uneven.
So, there are many ways to distinguish between ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipes, among which the weighing method, marginal testing method, temperature measurement method, and visual method are just four commonly used methods.
